Our Beliefs
Scriptures
We believe that the Bible is the perfect, inspired Word of God and has been preserved by the promise of God. It is our final authority in all matters of faith and practice. For reasons of unity within the church and textual reliability, we choose to use the King James Version of the Bible, the only English Bible solely translated from the Masoretic and Received Texts.
1 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:23-25; 2 Peter 1:20-21
Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ, eternally existing, is the only begotten Son of God, who became a sinless man in order to redeem us. He was born of a virgin and is God “manifest in the flesh”. He alone is the mediator and intercessor between God and man.
Luke 1:30-55; John 1:1-15; 1 Corinthians 15:4; Philippians 2:5-8; Colossians 1:15; 1 Timothy 2:5, 3:16; Hebrews 7:25
Church
We believe a church is a local, visible body of baptized believers whose mission is to preach and teach the Word of God, making disciples to do the same. The two ordinances of the church are baptism (immersion in water) and the Lord’s supper.
Matthew 16:18, 28:18-20; Acts 2:41; 1 Corinthians 1:1, 11:17-34; 2 Timothy 2:2
Sin
We believe that man was created in the image of God but fell through sin, bringing not only physical death, but also spiritual death or eternal separation from God. Now all of mankind exists as a fallen race, with an inherited sinful nature.
Genesis 1:26-27; 2:16; 3:10-23; Romans 3:10-23; 6:23
Salvation
We believe that Jesus suffered and died as the payment for the sins of the whole world. He physically arose from the dead three days later and then ascended into Heaven. To be saved from the penalty of sin, one must repent of sin and trust in Jesus Christ. Once a person is saved they are eternally secure in Christ.
Luke 24; John 10:28; Acts 1:9-11; Romans 5:8-10; Ephesians 1:20-23; 1 Peter 3:18
End Times
We believe that Jesus Christ will soon come again for all believers (the rapture) to reward their services. Unbelievers left behind will go through a period called the Tribulation. After this, Christ will return to the earth to set up His Kingdom of righteous rule for of one thousand years. All of this will climax when unbelievers of all ages will stand before the Great White Throne to be Judged and cast into the Lake of Fire, separated from God forever, while believers spend eternity in the fullness of joy with the Lord.
