Can a person know that they know God? If so, how? If I know God, what difference does it make? Today, there is so much confusion over what it is to know God. Yet, centuries ago the Holy Spirit moved the apostle John to write a letter, 1 John, to Christians that would encourage them to know what it is to be confident in Christ. John knew what it was to enjoy fellowship with God – the God of light, love and life. The assurance and confidence that Jesus Christ gave John will encourage you to live each day with strong confidence as well. Participate in this sermon series through the New Testament book of 1 John and know what it is to live a confident Christian life. Not self-confidence, but Christ-confidence!

We all desire our life to impact someone for the good, but how? Mark's gospel portrays Jesus, the Messiah, differently than the other gospels. Mark is brief and pertinent. He lays aside excess verbiage and goes right to the point - this is the Gospel of action, accomplishment and impact. We must learn and practice this truth: To impact like Jesus, we must serve like Jesus. Are you ready for the challenge?

Genesis 37-50 records the exciting and true story of Joseph. This historical account is a gem of information and inspiration. The drama, color, emotion, suspense, plots, character descriptions, and valuable historical records are examples of literary excellence. One cannot study this story without soon discovering it is more than a human autograph. Joseph had a life of extremes, yet in every situation he shows us how to live uprightly and faithfully for God. Few men in the Bible give such a great example of godly living as Joseph does. Let's learn from his life how God can build character in us and our families.
